„Brema Ice“ Bin 200 — 200 kg ice storage bin

The „Brema Ice“ Bin 200 is an ice storage bin for modular ice makers: the ice maker sits on top and the ice drops straight into the bin. It holds up to 200 kg of ice. The frame is 18/8 stainless steel with a „Scotch-Brite“ finish and the tank is polyethylene, suitable for contact with food and easy to clean. Good insulation keeps the ice from melting for a long time.

We sell the version of this bin for the „Brema Ice“ C 150 HC ice maker (Brema code BIN 200*C150). For other Brema modular ice makers — VM 350, VM 500/900, G 160/280/510, TM 140/250/450 and M 250 — Brema supplies separate versions of this bin, which we can offer on request.

The Bin 240 PE has a moulded polyethylene body and costs less, but holds less (180 kg) and is 72 mm wider and 53 mm taller. We can offer the Bin 350 (350 kg, 1 250 × 815 × 1 000 mm) on request.

Installation and care

  • Stand the bin on a level floor; once the ice maker is on top, level the unit with a spirit level by adjusting the feet (100–160 mm).
  • A qualified technician fits the ice maker’s thermostat probe into the bin’s probe holder, so that the ice maker stops when the bin is full.
  • Meltwater leaves through the bin’s drain hole, so the bin needs a drain, just like the ice maker. Do not use the bin to chill or store food or drinks: they can block the drain, and the bin then fills with water and overflows (C 150 HC manual).
  • With the C 150 HC and the feet, the whole unit is 1 820–1 880 mm high (our calculation from Brema’s dimensions).
  • The bin is cleaned and sanitised together with the ice maker at least once a month: washed with the vinegar solution and washing-up liquid, sanitised with a 200 mg/l sodium hypochlorite solution and rinsed thoroughly with cold water — a job for qualified staff (C 150 HC manual).
