This is a silicone O-ring for a heating element flange. It stops water from seeping out where the heating element is fitted. A hardened or cracked O-ring starts to leak, so it is worth replacing the O-ring whenever you change the heating element.
The O-ring is a standard size, designated OR 06187 in the LF catalogue (formerly OR 0151). According to LF, it is equivalent to „EGO“ part 0000625037 and fits „Ascobloc“ and „San Marco“ equipment; the „San Marco“ coffee machine models are listed below. O-rings of the same size are also used on dishwasher heating elements.
