The „Ascaso“ Baby T PLUS is a professional single-group espresso machine: a thermoblock heats the coffee group and a separate 2.5 L boiler supplies the steam, so you can brew espresso and froth milk at the same time.

The Baby T inherits the technology of the „Ascaso“ Barista T, built for cafés: PID temperature control and a rotary pump with adjustable pressure. According to „Ascaso“, pairing a thermoblock with a separate steam boiler saves up to 50% of the energy used by a conventional espresso machine. The Baby T PLUS takes its water from a 2 L tank or straight from the mains, and you can also adjust its settings with a phone app.

Who it is for

The Baby T PLUS is made for people who make espresso like a barista and tune every setting to their coffee. It is compact and takes its water from a tank or the mains, so it fits wherever coffee is made every day — from a home kitchen to a small café or a mobile coffee bar.

Precise temperature for every cup

Every shot is as good as the last: the PID controller keeps the coffee group within ±0.5 °C, whether you are pulling one shot or fifty.

Set the brew temperature to suit your coffee — from 80 to 110 °C in 0.1 °C steps. The left display shows the group temperature, and when all three dose buttons stay lit, the machine is ready to brew.

Water reaches the group thermoblock already warmed in the steam boiler (dynamic pre-heating).

Four doses, shot timer and statistics

Three backlit buttons give you four programmed doses: S and L each hold two, selected with one press or two, and XL runs the shot until you press it again.

Set pre-infusion for each dose from 0 to 5 s.

The right display counts the seconds as each shot runs, and counters show how many coffees you have made since the last reset and in total.

Espresso the way you like it

Set the rotary pump pressure yourself (factory setting about 9 bar); two gauges show the pump and steam boiler pressure.

The group has a 200 µm stainless steel competition shower screen and a silicone gasket. The portafilters are 58 mm.

The box includes 7, 14, 18 and 21 g competition baskets and a bottomless portafilter, which lets you watch the espresso flow from the basket.

Milk foam for cappuccino and latte

Steam comes from a separate, insulated 2.5 L stainless steel boiler, so it is strong and consistent.

Set the steam temperature from 110 to 165 °C in 1 °C steps and control the steam with the walnut-handled joystick.

The 12 mm stainless steel steam wand stays cool to the touch, so you can hold it safely.

Three steam tips are supplied: with two, three and four holes.

Hot water for tea or for warming cups comes from a separate outlet, which you turn on with a switch.

Easy every day

The 2 L water tank lifts out from the side, and a sensor tells you when the water is running low.

The machine can also be plumbed into the mains water supply — you choose the water source in the menu.

Set the temperatures, doses, pre-infusion, stand-by and automatic on/off from your phone with the „Ascaso“ app (iOS and Android) over Bluetooth.

Espresso is at its best in a warm cup, and the active cup warmer on top of the machine has yours ready.

The work area is lit, so you can see the portafilter and cup clearly as you brew.

The chrome feet adjust in height by ±30 mm.

Once the machine has sat idle for the time you set, it switches the steam boiler to its stand-by temperature and saves energy.

When you are making espresso only, switch the steam boiler off in the menu.

Comparison

All three Baby T models are 350 mm wide and 430 mm deep, with a PID controller, two displays, four programmable doses and a rotary pump.

If you want to control the water flow during extraction yourself, choose the „Ascaso“ Baby T FLOW — it has a manual flow control lever on the brew group.

Installation

• Power supply: 230 V, 50/60 Hz, 2,400 W; the machine must be earthed.
• Water: from the 2 L tank or the mains; a mains connection needs drinking water, a 3/8″ connection, 1–6 bar and a shut-off valve between the mains and the machine; with low-mineral water the coffee tastes better and the machine keeps running smoothly for longer.
• Drain: the „Ascaso“ drain kit (available separately) carries drip-tray water straight to a waste pipe.
• Location: a flat, dry, stable surface with room around it for servicing and a grinder; dimensions 350 × 430 × 450 mm (W × D × H), weight 35 kg.

Maintenance

Once a week, brush the shower screen and gasket, and backflush the group with the blind filter and the „Ascaso“ Coffee Washer machine cleaner. The automatic programme rinses the group ten times for 10 s each.

Depending on use and water hardness, clean the steam boiler with the „Ascaso“ V.8412 boiler cleaner.

What’s in the box

The machine comes with three stainless steel portafilters with walnut handles (single-spout, double-spout and bottomless), competition baskets (7 g for one cup, 14 g and 18 g for two, 21 g for three), a blind filter, two-, three- and four-hole steam tips, a stainless steel tamper, a shower screen brush and a mains water hose.
