This lava rock grill suits any professional kitchen, from a steakhouse to a restaurant: you cook meat, fish and vegetables on a grid over hot lava rock.
A single 13 kW gas burner heats the lava rock beneath the 550 × 535 mm cooking grid.
Meat, fish and vegetables cook evenly across the whole grid, because the hot lava rock radiates its heat uniformly. The grill heats up in a few minutes, so you start cooking quickly.
The rock stores heat and releases it steadily, so you use less gas. Unlike charcoal, lava rock does not burn away or leave ash.
The universal cooking grid supplied with the grill handles meat, fish and vegetables alike.
Fat collects in a pull-out drawer, and you clean the grid with the double-sided grill brush and scraper supplied.
You control the heat in two ways: the knob on the front panel sets the flame, and levers on both sides of the grill raise and lower the cooking grid — the closer it is to the rock, the fiercer the heat. You light the grill with a piezo ignition button. The burner’s gas tap has a safety thermocouple that cuts off the gas if the flame goes out.
The grill sits on an open cabinet with height-adjustable feet, so it stands directly on the floor and you level it with the feet. A pair of front doors (14080324) and a rear panel (01160328) for the cabinet are available separately.
The I-65 MOB has a cooking area about 50 % larger than the I-47 MOB, with the same 13 kW burner. If a 365 × 535 mm grid is enough, choose the I-47 MOB; for different heat levels on the left and right halves of the grid, choose the two-burner I-80 MOB/P. The countertop version is the I-65.

At full power, the grill uses 1.375 m³ of natural gas G20 (1.599 m³ G25) or 1.03 kg of LPG G30 per hour. Replacement lava rock comes in 9 kg bags: „CB“ lava rock, 9 kg bag (05050501).
The grill comes with a universal cooking grid, lava rock, a double-sided grill brush, a spatula and a scraper for the universal grid. Optional grids: meat grid (14080022) and fish grid (14080025). The main photo shows the grill fitted with the optional fish grid.
